Upland Pine Area burned in 2000. Probably long fire suppressed prior to that. Upland longleaf pine woodland, with canopy of mature Pinus palustris. Hardwood species in subcanopy and midstory include Quercus falcata, Q. margaretta, Carya tomentosa, Cornus florida, Prunus serotina, Persea palustris. Ground cover dominants include Aristida beyrichiana, Dichanthelium spp., Sorgastrum secundum, S. nutans, Pteridium aquilinum, Eupatorium spp.
